We are given numerous of surveillance and dash camera footage; however, sometimes it is hard to depict what is happening. In these cases, we are able to enhance the footage using forensic software in order to see the subject incident and proceed with our scientific opinions.
Additionally, surveillance footage will communicate and display various findings. Consequently, to the untrained eye, it may be difficult to see the subject incident. We add tracking rings to identify objects in the footage to make it clearer to view and investigate.
At IRSA, we take part in Videography, more specifically, Video Forensics. Video Forensics is a scientific assessment of a subject incident. We analyze the given footage through the latest software while ensuring we follow the best practices. We want to make sure the video is examined with the highest integrity and fullest professional knowledge.
Similar to Photometrics, we can duplicate the lighting and contrast of the site at the time of the accident. Furthermore, we are able to track objects, adjust contrast for a clearer image, zoom for better detail and determination, read multiple raw video formats, establish spatial relationships, read time codes as well as accurately represent the details and colors of the scene.
Our goal is to inspect, understand, and accurately communicate what was analyzed and discovered through the above processes. We have the ability to take this information and use it as a support for our other scientific findings.
